Version 0.5.1 came out on August 29, 2007. The new features include:

• the ability to display overlying maps at an offset;
• LRUD envelopes for maps exported from centerline data only;
• user defined types (with custom subtype) for points, lines, and areas.

There is new configuration mode for Linux users: make config-debian. To compile loch you need to have installed a few necessary packages: wxWidgets-devel, VTK-devel, freetype-devel, libpng-devel. At the same time xtherion was also improved, with symbol themes and translations comboboxes, DXF/SVG import and autocompletion in symbol type comboboxes.

Therion mailing list (the "conference") is the best place for users to communicate anong themselves, to ask questions and to get answers. It is also a place for the users to let the developer know about their needs, and thus to steer therion evolution to fulfill the needs of the community.
